Inspiration comes from the strangest of places. Right?
So, every year I try to do something special for my Halloween treats. I always try to make sure my little ghosts and goblins get something a little special that they don't get everywhere else they visit. When we lived on Buck Avenue, that was pretty much impossible because we were "blessed" with way too many of the little posers. But now, since we only have about 30 of the little darlings, it is much easier. I try to take care of the little ones. I do enjoy them and want repeat customers, you know. :)
This year I was feeling a little stressed because I had candy, but nothing special. Who knew that a baked potato from Wendy's would spark my creativity. You know those sour cream packets you get when you order a potato? The funny shaped ones, yeah. Those. I thought, wouldn't these be the cutest little treat bags. Knowing I couldn't possibly to the first to think of this, I scurried through lunch and returned to my computer and hit YouTube right away. Once again, the World Wide Web didn't disappoint. I found this video that showed me exactly how to do it. She even talks about Wendy's in the video. Great minds think alike.
I made them this evening and I totally love how they turned out. From the video, I even learned to make the crimped edges, which I hadn't thought of. Finally, a use for that paper crimper that I bought 100 years ago and never used.
Check them out! I bet those kids won't throw eggs at my house. They'll love them. You know you want to rip one of these beauties open right now. I stuffed mine with Fun Size Snickers, Mini AirHeads, and Fun Size Twix.
And as I close this blog entry, I realize, "I have way too much time on my hands."

You're right. These are adorably cute.
I wish you'd got inspired sooner, and I might have copied your cool idea.

These are wonderful. I am going to take this idea and run with it. These would also make great gifties for Christmas. Thanks for sharing.
Your right! You do have to much time on your hands!! But I will enjoy receiving the treat!
Well now I wish I had one of those paper crimpers!! Love the idea and I'm thinking of my Thanksgiving table....(rubbing my metaphorical beard....

I think I finally remembered my Blogger log-in, so I don't have to be anonymous anymore.
